What is Neural Habituation?
Habituation is one of the most basic forms of learning, in which we ‘get used to’ a sensory input. It is a decrease in response to a stimulus (sound) after repeated exposure. Over time, and with repeated exposure to the sound, patients pay less attention to the noise and their response to the sound diminishes.
